OGTR annual reports
The annual report details the operations of the Gene Technology Regulator as per the reporting requirements in section 136 (1A) of the Gene Technology Act 2000.
The report is prepared after the end of each financial year and given to the Minister and the relevant state and territory ministers.
Annual reports on the Operations of the Gene Technology Regulator
The Gene Technology Act 2000 requires Gene Technology Regulator to report annually on their operations. The reports are produced for the Minister as soon as practicable after the end of each financial year.
Freedom of information (FOI) requests
Under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act), members of the public can request access to documents held by the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator.

The FOI disclosure log details information released by the Gene Technology Regulator under the FOI Act that is available for public access.
How to submit an FOI request
Your request must be made in writing and:
- state that the request is an application for the purposes of the FOI Act
- provide enough information to clearly identify the documents being sought.
You can email or post your request to the Freedom of Information coordinator.
Fees and charges
There is no fee for making an FOI request.
If you are not seeking documents containing your own personal information, there may be a charge for processing a request. We will provide you with an estimate of the charges and will wait for your response before continuing.
In some circumstances, we may decide to remit, reduce or not impose processing charges.
